Easy Natural Diy Shampoo – The Ingredients

Coconut milk has long been used as a hair treatment, giving your hair a boost of nutrients and fats that also helps it to grow, especially with its vitamin E content.

The natural moisture in coconut milk boosts your hair follicles, so it is particularly good if you suffer from dry, damaged, weak or brittle hair, and it’s great for split ends. For anyone having trouble with hair loss, coconut milk should be your go-to (1).

It not only reduces the shedding of hair and stops it from breaking, but the nutrients in it promote hair growth. You’ll be adding vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6 to your hair and scalp, along with magnesium, iron, calcium, selenium, copper and potassium with coconut milk as an ingredient in your shampoo.

Jojoba oil is also a well known hair treatment, and it smells luscious.

Despite the fact it’s called an oil, jojoba is actually a wax ester, which is very similar to human skin oil. It makes your scalp think that it is producing enough of its own oils, thereby balancing oil production.

Jojoba oil is anti-bacterial, so it soothes your scalp, and is a good treatment for problems with dry scalp or dandruff. It penetrates your hair follicles and strengthens each fibre from the inside out, while also hydrating it. It adds shine, softness and elasticity to your hair, adds volume, stimulates blood flow to your scalp (which helps with hair growth), and repairs damaged hair (2) (3).

Peppermint essential oil is another effective natural hair growth stimulator, as it is rich in essential fatty acids. It cools and refreshes your scalp beautifully, adding a fresh fragrance, and keeping dandruff at bay.

It normalizes your scalp’s oil production, balances the pH level and moisturizes your hair and scalp (4).

Natural Homemade Shampoo

Apple cider vinegar may seem like an unlikely ingredient in a shampoo, but it’s actually a wonder tonic for hair.

It balances your scalp’s oil and pH levels, is anti bacterial and anti fungal, it cleanses and clarifies (especially if you have product build up), adds natural body and defines curls, is a great natural detangler, reduces frizz, adds shine, treats damaged hair, stimulates hair growth, and prevents breakage and split ends.
