This incredibly delicious ginger dressing comes together fast and easy in your blender, and keeps for days in the refrigerator … giving you an excuse to eat even more fresh salads.
The key nutrients that your body needs for detoxification are folic acid, glutathione, antioxidants, carotenoids, vitamins B, C and E, and amino acids (1). You’ll find all of these nutrients in this Creamy Detox Ginger Dressing recipe. And not only that, you’ll also find that most, if not all, of them in the ingredients of your salad.
When making any fresh, homemade salad dressing, don’t skimp on quality ingredients to save a few bucks – it’s not worth it for your body in the long run.
Also, I highly recommend making this ginger dressing ahead of time so that everything can marinate beautifully together for maximum taste sensation. I would even go so far as to suggest that you dress the salad ahead of time as well – once again for all the flavors to merge and meld.
I think we all know that fresh, raw, organic produce is the best we can do in terms of getting our daily dose of required nutrients, so don’t waste your time, your money or your efforts by negating that effect with questionable ingredients in a dressing which should ultimately add to your flavor creation as well as the goodness of the salad itself.
Homemade Ginger Dressing Ingredients + Benefits
Ginger – Gingerol is the active substance in ginger that turns this simple root into a real superfood.
It has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, reduces damage caused by free radicals, and triggers the natural detoxification processes in your body (1). Moreover, its soothing action on your digestive system makes ginger a great ingredient to add to your salads, if you have trouble digesting raw ingredients.
In any form – fresh or dried and powdered – the key is to use organic to get the best of its exceptional benefits.
Lemon Juice and Apple Cider Vinegar – are not only flavor enhancers, but also work together to reduce the acidity in your system.
While freshly squeezed lemon juice is packed with antioxidant vitamin C, apple cider vinegar stimulates your digestive system and nourish the bacteria colonies, while stimulating the natural detoxification.
Hemp Hearts – they are my absolute secret of adding creaminess to my vegan salad dressings.
You will also love hemp when you’ll learn that it contains all the amino acids to create complete proteins in our body (so good-bye expensive protein powders), it is loaded with healthy fats, and packed with fiber too (3).Print
