Ginger root and ginger detox drinks like this fermented ginger ale help to “cleanse” your body by stimulating your digestion and circulation.
All of those actions help rid your body of built up waste and toxins in your liver and colon as well as your other organs. Detoxing this way helps your body’s natural cleansing process function properly, allowing it to better provide you with defenses against disease and illness.
Ginger aids this process with its anti-inflammatory effects on your gastrointestinal system, supporting your entire digestive process.
This powerful herb also helps with the absorption of essential nutrients, boosting your immune system.
But ginger isn’t only good for detox purposes, as it has so many other healing and health benefits. Plus, it’s easy to find ways to incorporate it into your daily diet, and is worth looking into if you haven’t already.
I like to add both fresh and dried ground ginger to enhance the flavor of this beverage.
Raw honey is included in nearly all detox and health drinks, and for good reason,
On top of its sweetness, it also offers incredible healing properties. Among them: it helps build up your immune system, fight allergies, and boost your energy (2).
Honey is also loaded with antioxidants which, among other things, helps to prevent cellular loss and damage within your brain, and so it even helps to improve your memory.
Raw honey is also a great natural anti-inflammatory, helping your body to protect itself against illness and disease.
Lemon brings more cleansing and healing properties to your Detox Ginger Ale, helping the fight against aging, because vitamin C helps to produce collagen and smooth out all those fine lines and wrinkles (3).
